Opal print offer production of CTP plates and film to the printing industry.
All plate sizes up to B2 can be produced and film output up to B1. Quick response and turn around upon enquiry.
Workflow
Opal Print near Bath use a Prinergy digital workflow from Kodak which creates print ready PDF’s from any supplied format. These can be used for remote proofing, producing CTP plates or out putting film. Our workflow will handle all levels of In Design files.
CTP (Computer to plate)
Imposed or single page PDF’s can be exported for outside use for remote proofing or plating.
Kodak Electra XD thermal plates are produced on a Kodak Magnus 400 plate setter and can be imaged up to 240lpi.
Plates can be produced up to B2 size on either 0.15mm or 0.3mm thickness plates.
A low resolution imposed proof is supplied with each set of plates.
Film
Film output is from an Avantra 44 B1 film setter and can output negative or positive film both 0.3mm and 0.7mm thick.

Using drum and flat bed scanners we can scan media ranging from transparencies to A2(420mm x 594mm) sized original artworks or images.
Scans can be produced up to any requested dpi and saved in any format required.
